Naturehike Cloud Up 2 Tent Review
The Cloud Up 2 is the budget tent that turns up on more bikepacking setups than any other, and the version you get depends on the colour you pick.
The verdictThe budget two-person tent with the largest owner record, light enough for a bike. Pick the Pro colours for the lighter nylon version.
The Amazon US listing sells two versions by colour. The orange base tent is 210T polyester at 4.25 lb, and the navy, grey and forest green Pro is 20D nylon at 3.97 lb. Naturehike's own store gives the current Cloud Up Pro 2 as 1.36 kg minimum and 1.53 kg packed, with a PU3000 fly and a PU5000 floor, packing to 40 cm.
It is a double-wall tent with a mesh inner on a single hubbed pole, which keeps the pitch simple and the packed length short for a two-person shelter. At 40 to 45 cm it fits a large seatpack or a fork cage, and on wide drop bars a bar roll. Two people will find it snug, and one rider gets room for bags inside.
It has a very large owner record, 4.5 stars across 2,366 Amazon US ratings in October, shared across both versions. Condensation on still, humid nights is the recurring complaint with tents of this design, so vent it and pitch it where the air moves. Check the colour before you buy, because it decides the fabric and the weight.
