Fork cargo is a setup most riders are unsure about until they try it, and the usual barrier is that a cage plus a matching dry bag costs about seventy dollars per side. This set removes that barrier by supplying both, and it includes the non-slip strap needed for forks without bosses.
The bag is a roll-top, which is the correct closure for a position sitting in front-wheel spray, and the cage takes a standard bottle as well if you decide cargo is not for you. As a way of testing whether you want fork storage at all, it is difficult to argue with the price.
The compromises are where you would expect. The materials are lighter than the Blackburn or Topeak equivalents, the strap hardware is the part owner reports mention first, and the load limit is lower than an alloy cage. This is a set for a sleeping bag or a jacket rather than for tools or anything heavy.
Buying two is the sensible approach, because a single loaded fork leg makes the steering asymmetric in a way that is noticeable within a mile. Balanced loads are the difference between fork cargo feeling invisible and feeling like a mistake, and at this price two sets still cost less than one premium cage.
