KEMIMOTO Waterproof Bike Pannier Pair (2 x 30L) Review
The KEMIMOTO pair is the volume play among the budget panniers: 60 litres across two roll-top bags with a laptop sleeve. The mount is where the owner reports go wrong.
The verdictLots of roll-top volume and a laptop sleeve for the money. The clips are the problem, so it suits smooth roads better than rough gravel.
The listing sells two 30 litre bags, 58 x 32 x 16 cm each, in 500D PVC with a roll-top and a hook-and-loop seal. Each is rated for 10 kg, and inside there is a padded sleeve for a 16 inch laptop, with mesh pockets, bungee cords and reflective details outside. A padded shoulder strap turns one into a carry bag off the bike.
The mount uses two top clips and a rotating lower buckle, sized for rack tubes of 0.6 to 1.2 cm. That is where the owner reports cluster. Owners describe clip tabs working loose, clips sliding along the rail, and a bag popping off over bumps or dropping to the ground, so check the clips before every ride.
On water, one owner who had a bag fall off still called it very waterproof, which fits the roll-top and PVC. Another needed to set the bags fully back on the rack to clear their heels, and a free Vine sample was described as thin and saggy. KEMIMOTO publishes no weight and no seam construction.
Owners on Amazon US gave it 3.4 stars from 12 ratings in October, shared between the pair and the single bag, with 30 percent at one or two stars. That is a small record and a poor one for the mount. It was $79.98 for the pair when we checked in August.
