ECOOPRO Warm Weather Sleeping Bag Review
Rated 15°C to 30°C, this is unambiguously a warm-weather bag, and the single most common way people are disappointed by it is buying it for shoulder-season nights.
The verdictA sensible first bag for summer only. It will not keep you comfortable in spring or autumn, and it will fill your seatpack — but it costs little enough to find out whether you like sleeping outdoors at all.
At around twenty-five dollars, this exists to get someone through their first few overnighters without spending real money on down. For genuine summer use — nights that stay in the mid-teens Celsius and above — a synthetic bag at 770g is perfectly adequate, and it has one real advantage over down at any price: it keeps some insulating value when damp, which matters when condensation runs down a cheap tent's inner wall onto your feet. It also washes without special detergent and survives being stuffed rather than rolled, which is how everyone actually packs.
The 15°C lower figure should be read as a comfort limit, not a survival one, and treated conservatively — a cold sleeper on a 12°C night will be awake at four in the morning. The pack size is the other honest cost: synthetic fill does not compress like down, so 770g of it eats far more seatpack volume than a 700g down quilt would. That is the real reason to upgrade eventually, more than the warmth. As a first bag that proves whether you enjoy bikepacking before committing to a £250 quilt, it is the correct purchase.
What works
- Retains some warmth when damp, unlike down
- Washes and stuffs without special care
- Low enough cost to try bikepacking before committing
What doesn't
- 15°C rating is a comfort limit — cold sleepers will suffer
- Synthetic fill eats far more pack volume than down
- 770g is heavy for the warmth it provides

Skip it if
