Evidence volume matters more than specification at the budget end of this category, because the failure modes are gradual and unglamorous. Water gets into a charging port, a silicone strap perishes, a battery stops holding charge. Thirty-two thousand reports across several years is enough to see whether those things happen often, and here they do not happen more than expected.
Silicone strap mounts are the practical feature. They move between bikes in seconds without tools, they fit oversized and aero bars alike, and when they eventually perish they cost almost nothing to replace. Bracket-mounted lights are more secure and far more annoying.
Output is adequate for being seen and inadequate for seeing. On an unlit gravel descent this will show you the next few metres and not much beyond, which is the honest limit of every light at this price regardless of the lumen claim on the box.
