If your bikepacking trips involve carry-out burritos or cold cans of soda, the WOTOW is your best friend. The internal foil lining provides genuine thermal insulation, keeping a cold drink chilled for several hours even in the sun. The 3.5L capacity is surprisingly large, swallowing a full lunch and a few extras with ease.
The dual mesh side pockets are a highlight - perfect for stashing empty wrappers or a small bottle of sunscreen for quick access. The bag uses a three-point harness system that is much more stable than the price implies. It's built from a rugged 600D Oxford cloth that has resisted abrasion well through thickets and bushes. It's a specialized tool, but for food-focused tours, it's unmatched.
At 3.5L this is the largest cockpit bag on the page and the only insulated one, so the comparison is not really against the other bags here — it is against carrying food in a frame bag and accepting that it gets warm. The foil liner holds a cold drink for a few hours in direct sun, which nothing else in this list attempts.
The costs are weight and shape. 350g makes it the third-heaviest here for a bag with no waterproof rating, and a 3.5L box on the bars is wide enough that drop-bar riders should measure before ordering. The three-point harness is better than the price implies and the 600D Oxford handles brush contact, but the shell is water-resistant only — pack anything that must stay dry in a liner and treat this as what it is, a cool box that mounts to a bike.
