The Anker's case is charging speed in both directions and a cable you cannot forget, at the cost of being the heavier way to carry 74 Wh.
The verdictThe fast-refill bank. Worth it if you carry a 65 W charger and stop at cafes, and heavy if you only charge overnight.
Anker rates this bank at 20,000 mAh, or 74 Wh, with 87 W total output, 65 W from a single port and a built-in USB-C cable rated for 10,000 bends. An independent test by techtest.org measured 61.6 to 65.4 Wh actually delivered, 83 to 89 percent of the rated figure, which is the honest number to plan a trip around.
The feature that matters on a bike is the 65 W input. From a 65 W charger Anker claims a full refill in about 1.5 hours, which turns a lunch stop into a full bank where a 20 W bank would only gain a few hours of charge. That only helps if you also carry a 65 W charger, which adds weight of its own.
It weighs about 440 g by Anker's figure, the main complaint in Amazon's review summary, and measures 15.75 x 7.35 x 2.6 cm. The warranty is 18 months. A 2024 test sample would not charge and pass power through at the same time, and one owner reported the built-in cable failing after about eight months, which Anker replaced.
