ROCKBROS 3L Bikepacking Saddle Bag Review
The title says large capacity, but ROCKBROS gives this bag 3 litres in its bullets and its spec table. That makes it a big day-ride saddle bag, not an overnight seatpack.
The verdictA small welded saddle bag sold under a large-capacity title. Fine for day kit, too small for an overnighter.
ROCKBROS describes 600D fabric with a TPU coating, joined by high-frequency welding rather than stitching, so there are no needle holes for water to follow. The listing calls the fabric water-repellent in one place and the bag waterproof in another, and it publishes no rating. A PP board holds the shape, and three straps (two at the saddle rails and one at the seatpost in the listing photos) form the triangle ROCKBROS says stops it shaking.
Three litres is room for a spare tube, tools and a rain jacket on a long day ride or a hotel-to-hotel tour. It will not take a sleeping bag, so it is the wrong bag for a first overnighter whatever the title says. ROCKBROS lists 336 g, elastic cords on top for gloves or a jacket, reflective panels at the sides and rear, and a tail-light mount.
Owners on Amazon US gave it 4.6 stars from 16 ratings in October, too few to show how the welds and straps age. It was $46.99 when last checked on 16 August, a high price for 3 litres at this end of the market.
What works
- Welded seams, no stitching holes
- PP board keeps its shape
- Light at 336 g listed
What doesn't
- Only 3 L despite the title
- Called both water-repellent and waterproof
- Only 16 ratings so far
Buy it if
Long day rides and hotel tours where a tube, tools and a rain jacket need a dry home behind the saddle
Skip it if
You need room for a sleeping bag or camp kit, because 3 litres will not take an overnight load
