Rainleaf Microfiber Travel Towel (48 x 24 in) Review
A towel is the item most bikepackers leave out and then miss after a river wash or a wet tent. This one weighs 160 g at a useful size.
The verdictA thin, fast-drying towel at a useful size. Pick the size carefully.
The Amazon US listing, sold by RainLeaf and shipped by Amazon, is the blue 48 by 24 inch towel (122 by 61 cm) in 200 gsm microfibre, 85% polyester and 15% polyamide, at 0.16 kg. Rainleaf claims it absorbs five times its own weight, and it comes with a snap loop for hanging and a carry bag with ventilation holes. The same listing sells six sizes, so check the dimensions on the variant before ordering.
Microfibre wrings out far drier than cotton, which is why it can finish drying strapped to a seatpack between camp and the next stop. At this size it covers a body after a river wash and still packs small, and the snap loop clips to a rack or a branch without pegs. It is machine washable, which matters once a trip's grime has worked into it.
Owner reports stood at 4.6 stars across 31,013 ratings in October 2026, one of the deepest records in the category. Owners describe it as thin, closer to a chamois than a bath towel, but quick to dry, and the one-star reports are mostly buyers who picked a smaller size than they meant to. If you want plush, this is the wrong towel.
