Lixada Bike Saddle Bag 10L Review
A remarkably inexpensive entry-level waterproof cargo solution.
The verdictAn intensely inexpensive, completely waterproof 10L budget option that completely ignores aggressive handling capabilities in specific favor of cheap dryness.
The Lixada 10L is the lightest bag on this list at 360g — 96g under the Ortlieb, 220g under the M-Wave — and it is the cheapest one here with genuinely welded, PU-coated seams rather than stitched-and-taped ones. At $42.99 that undercuts the next fully waterproof bag on the page by $37. For a rider whose actual problem is a wet sleeping bag, that combination is hard to argue with.
It also asks less of your bike than anything else here. The 8cm minimum tyre clearance is the lowest in the group, half what the M-Wave and the Ortlieb need, which makes it one of the few 10L bags that will clear the tyre on a small frame or a bike with a dropper post.
The harness is where the money went missing. It is webbing loops and plastic buckles with no internal structure, and a strap-only harness under load does what strap-only harnesses do: the bag sways once you stand up, and the buckles creep loose over a long day. Expect to retension every couple of hours on rough ground.
That makes this a bag with an unusually specific shape. If you are packing light and bulky — a summer quilt, a spare layer, a shell — into a frame that cannot take a taller bag, it is the obvious pick. If you are putting tools or food back there, the load will find the weakness in the harness before you have finished the first climb.
