Blackburn Outpost Seat Pack and Dry Bag Review
The Outpost is a harness and a separate dry bag, so the bag goes into the tent while the harness stays on the bike. The listing's generic title hides Blackburn's long-running Outpost seat pack.
The verdictA proven two-part seat pack at a fair price for the design. Check your seatpost material and tape the frame where it rests.
The Amazon US listing carries a generic title, Blackburn Unisex Adult Outpost Bag, but its bullets and photos describe the Outpost Seat Pack and Dry Bag. An outer harness fixes to the seatpost and saddle rails with hook-and-loop straps, and an inner roll-top dry bag with welded seams slides out without the harness coming off, with daisy chain loops on the outside for extra gear. Blackburn's published figures, as UK retailers list them, are 11 litres, 475 g and 152 by 203 by 420 mm extending to 560 mm, and the harness is not recommended for carbon seatposts.
The two-part design is the point. You carry the dry bag into the tent at night, and the listing notes the harness will take an aftermarket dry bag if the original fails. Owners report the harness scuffing paint where it rests against the seatpost and stays, and some tail wag when the bag is full, so a strip of frame tape and a firm pack are worth the minute they take.
Owner reports stood at 4.3 stars across 65 ratings in October 2026, from tours of up to three weeks and gravel rides through creeks. One owner advises re-tightening the straps after the first 10 km, another wanted an air vent for rolling the bag tight, and a German owner reported material damage after 14 months. On 7 October the listing was $111.78 from a third-party seller, TophersTreasures, shipped by Amazon with three left in stock.
